Yoda Suncatcher

Here sunny days are, yes! Turn your windows into Star Wars art with this easy-to-make Yoda suncatcher.

What You Need

  • Wax paper
  • Light green tissue paper
  • School glue
  • Sharpie marker
  • Scissors
  • Yoda template (link below)

Get Started!

Begin by drawing Yoda’s head on a piece of paper, or printing this template.

Place the wax paper on top of the template.

Use the black Sharpie marker to trace the Yoda shape on the wax paper.

Cut the light green tissue paper into small squares about 1″ in size.

Spread a thin layer of school glue across the wax paper, completely covering the entire shape (and going outside the lines).

Begin placing the tissue squares on the glue. Pieces should overlap and go outside the lines.

Continue until the shape is completely covered.

Let the glue completely dry.

Flip over the wax paper and cut out Yoda along the black marker line.

Your suncatcher is complete! Use clear tape to hang it on the window.
